Initial situation
The Yves Rocher Cosmetics Group brands have known from 2002 to 2010 a great change in the product offer structure, in the "mix" of the distributions flows (Web, stores, etc.) and in their geographical balance (strong increase in Eastern Europe), which lead to an ambitious distribution change program.
Target
- Reduce fixed costs (premises, structures, etc.), massify flows and remove load shortages
- Specialize sites per business (Distance Sales, Sales per Stores)
- Optimize store orders preparation processes to better meet store chains change targets and business networks ambitions (new store concept, Internet growth, multi-channel strategy and international deployment)
Solutions provided by Logistar WMS
- Design of a new target organization of "Retail" orders preparation processes (550 stores) when transferring this activity on the main logistics warehouse of the Yves Rocher brand (30,000 m², stock of 28,000 palettes, Inbound/Outbound flows of 170,000 pallets/year)
- Integration and implementation of the Logistar™ WMS solution support
Solution running mode
A new target organization
- Merging of 2 procurement sites to become one site
- Set-up of 3 production lines in waterfall, synchronized on the same site: a line for the plant stock, a line for the preparation of the cases for the processing center, a line dedicated to the sale units preparation
